Review of ‘Origins of the Never’ by C. J. Rutherford

My rating : 5 stars!

Origins of the Never is a novella by C. J. Rutherford. It serves as a prequel to his other books and was a quick read.

The best thing about this little book was probably how fairy tale-ish it felt. C. J. Rutherford’s writing style is great and I loved how he twisted clichés like ‘the beginning of the end’.

I found the setting of the story very unique and so was the magic system. I actually ended up liking the two main characters, despite one of them being ‘very’ bad and the other being ‘very’ good.

Overall ‘Origins of the Never’ is a fine read which I recommend to any lover of fantasy literature. Go grab it!
